Responsibilities:

• Foster and maintain strong working relationships with hourly production employees by building collaborative teams, promoting engagement, providing mentorship through active listening and coaching, conducting performance evaluations, delivering training and onboarding, and working to reduce turnover in support of plant goals.
• Oversee daily production operations and scheduling for assigned departments to ensure a smooth and consistent workflow.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying and addressing safety concerns, delivering safety training, performing routine safety audits, and leading investigations for any incidents within your area of responsibility.
• Ensure departmental quality objectives align with company’s brand promise by regularly reviewing standards and processes and recommending continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to recommend enhancements in production processes, equipment, procedures, quality control, operational efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Coordinate with the maintenance department to maintain optimal performance of production areas and minimize equipment downtime.
• Work closely with support functions such as Materials, Scheduling, and Logistics to ensure balanced scheduling and consistent material flow into the production area.
• Assess staffing requirements, enforce attendance policies, and ensure accurate timekeeping and attendance records for hourly employees.
• Provide input and support for hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Address employee concerns through effective resolution strategies and conduct investigations as necessary.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to travel to other facilities as needed.
