Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to be a part of our dynamic team. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine love for coffee, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coffee Preparation: Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffee, and manual brew methods, following our established recipes and quality standards.
2. Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions about coffee origins and brewing methods, and making personalized recommendations based on customer preferences.
3. Quality Control: Ensure the consistent quality of coffee products by maintaining equipment, regular cleaning, and adhering to health and safety standards.
4. Menu Knowledge: Stay updated on our coffee menu, including seasonal offerings, and educate customers about our unique coffee selections and flavor profiles.
5. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee shop and work area clean and organized, including maintaining coffee equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
6. Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, including taking orders, processing payments, and fulfilling customer requests.
7. Upselling and Merchandise: Promote coffee-related merchandise, beans, and other products to increase sales.
8. Continued Learning: Stay informed about the latest coffee industry trends, brewing techniques, and equipment to enhance your coffee knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to listen to customer preferences and convey information clearly.
• A passion for coffee and a desire to continuously improve your coffee knowledge and brewing skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items.
